About Me

Manuel Santana-Propper grew up in Flagstaff, Arizona. Currently a senior at Northern Arizona University, he is known in the theatre department for his work in the areas of lighting and stage management. He started out as an LX crew member on Devised: Moving Through Grief in 2021. Over time, he worked his way into positions of leadership where he was able to work as an assistant lighting designer in 2023 for the theatre department's mainstage, Las Pascualas, and as a stage manager for Voices In America, a reading series where he got the chance to meet and directly work with directors from outside the department. In his professional life, he has been working for NAU Auditoria since 2022 as a stage manager and lighting lead. In the 2023 and 2025 seasons of Utah Shakespeare Festival, he worked as a lighting technician, where he was able to pick up valuable experience and skill. He also took an opportunity to stage manage a show here in Flagstaff for ARTx called Pop Goes the Ferret, as well as being the assistant stage manager for the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra for the 4th of July in the past couple of years. Graduating this fall, he is looking forward to continuing his career as a designer and technician.
